Tetsugaku-dô
In 1891, Lafcadio Hearn got acquainted with INOUE Enryô, a Japanese philosopher who visited Matsue by chance.
Inoue was an authority in Japanese philosophy and also interested in ghosts, so Hearn must have enjoyed to have a chance to talk with him.
Tetsugaku-dô (court of philosophy) was established by Inoue as a place to make philosophical thoughts. Today it is open to public as a park.
